What does “non-transdermal” mean?
LifeWave describes its patches as non-transdermal: they are designed to work without delivering an active ingredient through your skin.
The company describes its approach as phototherapy, using light to stimulate the skin. This is LifeWave’s explanation of its technology; understanding the proposed mechanism is separate from knowing which benefits have been demonstrated in clinical research.
How do I explore the different patches?

What should I know before my first X39 patch?
LifeWave’s instructions specify applying one patch to clean, dry skin at a location shown in its placement guide. Wear it for up to 12 hours, then discard it; do not reuse a removed patch.
Remove it immediately if discomfort or irritation develops. Do not apply it to damaged skin. The manufacturer advises against use during pregnancy or nursing and says it is not intended for children. If you have a health condition or concerns about suitability, speak with a healthcare professional first.
How should I approach the research?
Curiosity is welcome—and so are careful questions.
When reading a study, look at how many people participated, whether it included a placebo comparison, what was actually measured, who funded it, and whether other researchers have reproduced the findings.
A change in a laboratory marker does not automatically establish a noticeable health benefit. Personal experiences can also differ from results measured in a controlled study. We encourage you to read the original research behind any claim that matters to your decision.
